Its main functions are moisture management and insulation. Lifa moves moisture away from the skin to the outside of the fabric, where it can evaporate quickly. It is a water-repellent fabric, meaning it prevents the absorption of liquid. This fibre is used to produce base layers that are in contact with the skin. The ultra-lightweight fabric and its technology work best as a base layer and when it is worn under other layers.
