In compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), Kangaroo Media S.L. informs users of the Komparoo website about the processing of their personal data.

2. Data we process

Browsing Komparoo in the normal way does not require registration or the entry of any personal data. However, we process the following data in the cases described below:

• Browsing and device data: IP address (anonymised where possible), device type, operating system, language, pages visited, time spent on the site and referrer.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookie Policy.
• Email (only if you contact us): data provided through the contact email address, processed solely to reply to the enquiry.

3. Purposes and legal basis

• Providing the comparison service: performance of the pre-contractual relationship / legitimate interest of the user.
• Handling enquiries: consent, given by sending us an email (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Measuring and improving the Site: legitimate interest (aggregate statistics) and consent for non-essential cookies (Art. 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Preventing fraud and abuse (bots, scraping, click fraud): legitimate interest.

4. Disclosures and recipients

Komparoo does not sell or disclose personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. Data may be disclosed to the following providers acting as data processors, always under the corresponding data processing agreements:

• Cloud infrastructure providers (Amazon Web Services, eu-north-1 region — Stockholm, Sweden).
• Aggregate measurement providers (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager, subject to cookie consent).
• Affiliate platforms that Komparoo works with (CJ Affiliate, Awin, Tradedoubler, Webgains, among others) — solely to attribute the transaction and collect the commission, without direct personal identification.

No international transfers of data take place outside the European Economic Area unless a provider requires it, in which case appropriate safeguards are applied (the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).

5. Retention

Data is kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and, where applicable, for the applicable statutory periods. Browsing and measurement data is kept in aggregated or anonymised form for a maximum of 26 months.

6. User rights

Users may exercise the following rights at any time by sending an email to info@komparoo.io with the subject ‘GDPR’:

• Access, rectification and erasure.
• Objection and restriction of processing.
• Data portability.
• Not to be subject to automated individual decision-making.
• Withdrawal of consent given, without retroactive effect.

Users may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they consider that their rights have not been properly dealt with: Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), 4th Floor, No.3 Circle Square, 5 Hawkshaw Street, Manchester M1 7BL — ico.org.uk.

7. Security

Kangaroo Media S.L. applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk of the processing, including encryption in transit (TLS), access control and continuous auditing of the infrastructure providers.
