The SRAM Rival shift control incorporates DoubleTap technology, which offers independent adjustment on both brakes and shift buttons. The SRAM shift control uses a separate lever for the changes and another for the brakes. These mechanical advantages are concentrated in very little weight, with barely 307 g, and without external cables to maximize aerodynamics and achieve a more refined look. In DoubleTap, the brake and shift levers are completely independent, each with its own turning points. Not only does this allow multi-position functionality, but it also eliminates the risk of unintentionally compromising brakes or changers, an unfortunate side effect of other integrated shift / brake lever designs.
